With passion that spans the breadth of contemporary and classical music and theatre, Laura Sudduth is a versatile, engaging artist who is always on the lookout for challenging new projects. Whether performing in concert, cabaret or play, Laura approaches her work with openness and vigor.
Laura’s theatre credits include work with the NY Gilbert & Sullivan Players, the Kansas City Repertory Theatre and the Coterie Theatre, which was named “one of the five best theatres for young audiences” by TIME magazine. Favorite roles include Anne in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, Lady/Ensemble in Sondheim’s Assassins (her favorite show), and Sandy in Jay Presson Allen’s Scottish drama The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.
As a classically trained soprano, Laura has sung and studied in Graz, Austria at the American Institute for Musical Studies and earned degrees at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She has performed such roles as Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Despina in Mozart’s Cosí fan Tutte, and Amor in L’Incoronazione di Poppea by Claudio Monteverdi.
